If such self-hating beliefs are allowed to permeate the popular culture unchallenged, if our strength of will is sapped before we defeat our real enemies, our very survival may be jeopardized. As if that were not enough - all this is really bad storytelling. Garth Ennis uses the Punisher as a two-dimensional stick figure to spout his "Progressive" political platitudes. Very uncreative. Oh well. So, the guy doesn't agree with the author's point of view? Now, that should be a crime. Freedom of speech goes both ways, it's clear, and it's both right for Ennis to do anything he wants with the 'Punisher' series and for that Michael Lackner (whoever he is) to be complaining on his outlook on world -- yet, it's still the most annoying and most biased piece of writing I've gone through for a long, long time. It's not saying where does he think Ennis has crossed some borders -- it's pointing out mistakes while helping himself with 9/11 paranoia, fear of terrorism and the god-bless-america shit. Pathetic attempt at flaming, ahem.
